      This position may offer the ability to work remotely up to three (3) days per week, within Arizona, based upon the
      department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

      Job Summary:

      The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking to hire an energetic and qualified Recruiter. The focus will be on recruiting qualified candidates in non-uniform administrative, trades, IT/technical, professional and educational job classifications.

All work, including remote work, should be performed within Arizona unless an exception is properly authorized in advance.

      Job Duties:

      - Drafts and posts job announcements utilizing recruitment software
      - Analyzes resumes and tracks qualified applicants to hiring lists
      - Researches position requirements and works closely with hiring authorities to develop effective recruitment strategies for job vacancies
      - Provides professional customer service to hiring managers and applicants
      - Responds to applicant questions regarding recruitment policies and procedures, position availability, and hiring list status
      - Travels statewide and/or on weekends to meet with hiring authorities in the field to discuss recruitment efforts
      - Attends job fairs and recruitment events
      - Drives on State business
      - Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

      Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

      Knowledge of:
      - Professional level human resources practices and procedures
      - Personnel administration, including recruitment, classification and compensation, selection, and hiring
      - Personal computers and use of various software programs including Human Resources (HR)/recruitment software
      - Business English to include proper grammar, punctuation, spelling, and sentence structure

      Skill in:
      - Written and verbal communications
      - Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships
      - Problem-solving and decision making
      - Research and analysis
      - Customer service
      - Resume evaluation utilizing the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) evaluation method
      - Developing creative recruitment strategies for difficult to fill positions

      Ability to:
      - Be creative in an often repetitious working environment
      - Learn and use Human Resources Information Solution (HRIS) and PageUp
      - Learn and adhere to department and state rules, regulations, policies, and procedures regarding recruitment and hiring
      - Learn, interpret, and apply ADOA Personnel Rules
      - Write comprehensive job announcements
      - Manage multiple tasks/assignments simultaneously
      - Be self-motivated
      - Maintain confidentiality
      - Adapt to changing conditions in a fluid environment

      Selective Preference(s):

      Governmental Human Resources experience performing professional-level recruitment work

      Pre-Employment Requirements:

      If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).

      Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation.

      Retirement:

      Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).

      Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
